Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL), a prominent Defence Public Sector Undertaking, has recently secured orders totaling ?2,673 crore. These orders include a substantial contract from Goa Shipyard Ltd. amounting to ?1,701 crore and another from Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers valued at ?972 crore. The procurement is specifically for the supply of 14 types of sensors intended for use on Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessels (NGOPV)
Highlighting the collaborative nature of these orders, BEL emphasizes the involvement of electronics and associated industries, including Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) acting as sub-vendors. With this recent development, BEL has successfully accumulated orders totaling ?25,935.15 crore in the current financial year, solidifying its position as a key player in the defense manufacturing sector
